The dates
This contest lasts from Sunday, January 24th until Saturday, January 30th. Orders placed before or after those dates will not be eligible for the contest.
The store
All orders must be placed on Amazon.com. If you buy a copy at your local bookstore, that's certainly appreciated, but it won't count for this contest.
How orders get reported for your school
1. People in your community order my book on Amazon
2. When these people receive their email confirmations from Amazon, they forward the email to contests@JoshSundquist.com
3. In the subject line of the email they write the name of your school
One credit card = one copy
We can only count one copy per credit card. So if you purchase, say, three books in a single order, it will only count for one copy in this contest.
If you want to order three books and have them all count, you'll have to place three separate orders on three separate credit cards.
This rule keeps the contest fair for smaller schools. Otherwise, a state conference or a school with a generous donor could easily place a bulk order and win the contest by a landslide.
Tracking
Once the contest starts, we'll have a graph on the homepage of the contest where you can track how many orders have been made on behalf of your school. It will be updated several times a day.
