Can other groups besides schools, such as businesses or conferences, compete?
Yes. The contest is open to any group that wants me to give a speech to them.
Can I just order the book for myself and have you send me the $5?
No. The donation must go to a non-profit.
When I forward you my email receipt are you going to steal my identity?
No, Amazon's email receipts do not contain that sort of private information.
Can multiple schools combine to compete?
No, that would be an unfair advantage.
Why can't I order a bunch of copies on one credit card?
You are welcome to do so, it's just that your order will only count as one copy in this contest. Otherwise schools with a single large donor would have an unfair advantage.
Each order must be on a separate credit card to count.
When will the speech take place?
At a mutually agreeable date in 2010.
What is the fine print?
I reserve the right to change the rules due to unforseen circumstances. Rule changes will be announced on this page and sent in an email to all registered schools and groups.
