The primary definition of inspiration is “stimulation of the mind or emotions to a high level of feeling or activity.”
This definition is more broad than just motivation (like the kind of inspiration I try to share in my speeches); it encompasses all art.
For example, here are some works of art that really inspire me. But you’ll never find them in a museum, nor will you find them to be particularly “motivational” (nor, for that matter, will you find them appropriate for children in some cases):
- The interior design of Pinkberry stores
- The first twenty seconds of “What You Say” by Jason Derulo
- “The Last Airbender” teaser trailer
- “I’m on a Boat” music video by Lonely Island
- The writing of David Sedaris
What inspires you?

I love “Whatcha Say” by Jason Derulo. The normal version is very cool too. I also love Pinkberry. Lol this was a really random comment, but I thought I would let you know that I agree with you.

I would also like to say that yes the first 20 sec of “whatcha say” is inspiring. And this morning as i was listening to my iPod i was thinking bout this and i came across the song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” by token….I think it is just as inspiring as “whatcha say” lol
