Not really, in my opinion.
Better strategy: Make allusions to your beliefs that like minded audience members will pick up on and connect with.
This is a video I did advising FFA officers on the issue, but it’s a question I get from time to time, so I thought I’d post it for you here in case you’re interested.
You are free to disagree, obviously.
Just one speaker’s opinion.

Yeah I completely agree that you really have to be subtle about religion cuz I used to make mistakes with meeting people and talking to not religious friends. Also I think that if you talk about faith and religion or actually if you’re talking about anything at all you can ONLY put your OPINION out there. If you start going on about like “This is how you get to heaven” or “this is the right path to take and yeahh I knowwww what I’m talking about” nonody is going to want to listen to you. You can’t put your own facts out there because facts leave no room for possibilities. It’s a natural thing when someone tells you that what THEY think is 100% correct they ARE NOT going to wanna believe you. They won’t listen. Whereas if you say something like “personaly I think my faith helped a lot” or any tiny thing about God people are just gonna be like “hey. that’s pretty cool.” Cuz you can’t pressure people into faith and religion cuz that’s a personal thing. It’s just not gonna work if you go all out. I agree withyou 100%.

Okay, you know, it’s great to hear this from other people, it being an awkward topic, because I always feel strange when I even make slight reference when I speak. Like in my head I’m screaming at myself, “if you’re gonna get on that topic, for even a second, make sure you come right off!” I’m always really dramatic in thos situations, lol
But, yeah. It’s kind of strange how true this is, because when I saw the title of this post I let in a breath and gritted my teeth, wondering how this one was gonna turn out. Natural thing I guess. But because it was so long, I really was able to relate to it early on. It was very light but adressing the subject directly.
Which is, may I saw, pretty flipping awesome.
I think it’s great that you answered this question.

i see where you come from and fully support living out Christ’s love in your life not just words, but this blog reminded me of a video coming from an alternative perspective…
it’s long and in two parts, but worth watching especially for the line at the end of part 2…
just an alternative thought…making people uncomfortable packs a hard punch to the soul of your audience…however, this would not make you very “popular”…but what is the lasting value in popularity anyway?
