how to ace your college admission essay (and other college admission secrets)

Topics: videos of my speeches

Graduation

Wanna know the secrets to writing a great college admissions essay? You, my friend, are in luck…thanks to my brother Luke.

The other day Luke (Age: 17. Facebook Relationship Status: Single. Looking for: Girls) came to me asking for advice about his college admission essay. That reminded me of a workshop I taught a few years ago on this very subject.

I dug up the DVD and discovered that although my speaking (and fashion) skills were kinda lacking back then, the video is packed with useful info.

So if you or someone you know is applying to college this month (or in the next few years…it’s never to late to start planning), check out these clips…

Thanks Hailey!! I’m soooo glad to hear that.

I spent forever editing these videos this week…but I wasn’t sure if anyone would actually watch them.

Luke — You are a senior in high school. How are you still 16??

Also, this is embarrassing…nothing like messing up your brother’s age on your blog. My b.

I skipped second grade. I really shouldn’t have to tell things like this to my brother.

You did? Seriously? I don’t think I knew that.

At any rate, it goes to reinforce what I’m always telling you about how you are a genius and how you’d have no trouble getting through med school.

Oh wow thank you so much! I am only a junior in high school, but now I know how to prepare. Everything you had to say was enlightening and I’ll be sure to keep it in mind while writing my essay and applying.
