    Hey Josh:

I was running the channels last night since the basketball game was kinda boring and I caught your message on RFD.TV. You were so interesting I did not go back to the ball game.

You are quite an inspiration to every one. Thanks for the good show.

Josh, i watched your keynote speech on rfd tv, because i couldnt go to national convention this year, because of work. But i wanted to say that it was great and it moved me. Ive been in ffa for about 2 years and it seems everyday i face a “bull”. You were hilarious, and next year ill be going to national convention, so you should definitely come back to give another speech :).

Hey josh I saw u at national convention remember me I was in the first row, on the 2nd story, seat 12. lol but I was just wondering do u have any up coming TV shows or presentations that I could see in the future because you are like that movie that u have 2 see twice in the theater, or chips, you can just eat one and that’s what I thought when your speech was done I wanted to see more, u were so inspiring it was unbelievable I thought it was cool to watch Mike Rowe speak, go to a real rodeo, or to see Toby Keith in consort! But your topped them all by a landslide and I was amazed by u and was inspired as well. All though only 15000 people were there to see it I believe your life store and motivation should be something that the world needs to hear starting with Neillsville Wisconsin high school lol but your speech was excellent and the little things that get in my way, my bulls, well when I hear your life story I feel as if your bull is 3 times as big and u still come out on top, and it motivated me and everybody and now that I look at my bulls, I realize that they are nothing anymore, and it’s the little things in life that make a big difference but it’s the big things in life that make the world to a person and that is exactly what u did thanks so much.

    Josh,
Along with the many other people from National Convention, I too heard you speak. I would just like to say thank you. You totally changed my outlook on so many different things. Friday, before you spoke, the group I was in was tired, run down, and our feet just plain hurt. We complained and dragged ourselves to session, complaining the whole time. However, once you began to speak our moods were uncomparable to our moods the hour before. I came out of your speech with a new message, and a different way to look at the little things in life.
For this I cannot say thank you enough. I, along with the many other people in Conseco Fieldhouse, was inspired by you Friday night. You made me laugh and you made me cry, but you motivated and inspired me overall.
Once again, thank you so very much.

    Josh,
I had the privilege to attend the National FFA Convention with my daughter, and I was simply in awe of your amazing spirit and how you connected with this wonderful group of young people! As I was sitting in the airport yesterday waiting to come home, I made a phone call to a friend back home in our small town to catch up on what I had missed during the few days that I had been gone. She passed on some information about a 12 year old boy named Henry that has been suffering from severe complications from the H1N1 virus. That very morning, Henry was scheduled to go in for surgery, to remove some of his fingers and part of his foot. Henry, like you, has an amazing spirit. As a 6th grader, he is a techno junkie and loves taking electronic equipment apart and putting back together again. Losing his fingers is going to be very difficult for him, as you well know. I told my friend about you and the inspiriational journey that you had shared with those at the convention and passed on your web address as well. She will be passing that information on to his parents. I’m sure your positve message will become a large part of Henry’s healing process. I thank you for bringing that message to so many people, not only to those at the convention, but also the ones that are waiting back home!

    Hi πŸ™‚
your seriously in my top 5 most amazing people.
usually when i hear a motivational speaker, they are boring and their stories sound completely made up.
With you however, i felt so proud to be myself. You truly inspired me to not care about what other people think of me, to never give up, and to pursue my dreams. And let me tell you, i have ALOT of BIG dreams.
I cant tell you how much your speech meant to me, my chapter, and all of FFA.
Haha i cant even explain to you how much i look up to you.
I am a crazy, outgoing person and now alot more people will see that side of me πŸ™‚

    Thank you

    Hey everyone!

I write this comment from the great mid-western state of Iowa, where I spoke to the Iowa Student Council this morning.

I just finished reading through all the amazing, kind, generous, and funny comments on this post.

As I read the things you all have written here, I laughed out loud many times. I felt tingles down my spine. I nodded. I smiled.

Never in my career have I experienced such an outpouring of incredibly encouraging blog comments, emails and Facebook messages. I’ve received hundreds and hundreds since the speech on Friday night.

I’m struck by the depth of the comments some of you have made—so many people have written to say how my speech inspired them to overcome particular challenges or reach for higher goals, or to look at their lives in a new light.

To know that my thirty minutes on stage had such an impact on just one person would an honor any of us would be lucky to have once in his or her lifetime.

To hear this, instead, from dozens and scores and hundreds of you has been a tremendous experience, one I will always remember and be grateful for.

    Josh,

I am an Agricultural Education teacher/FFA Advisor from Ohio. My students and I watched you speak at the national convention and I would just like to commend you on doing a fabulous job of capturing the audience and delivering such a powerful message.

I have attended national and state FFA conventions every year for about the past decade and I can honestly say that you are the best speaker I have ever seen. Your passion and ambition for life is contagious and you made an uncommon effort to relate to and interact with the audience (two of my students met you after the session).

Upon returning home to Ohio this week I have shared the video of your speech with all of my classes. All of my students have been inspired by you and hope that maybe you’ll venture to the Ohio FFA state convention in the future.

Thank you for being the person that you are and making such an impact on others lives!

    Sincerely,

Josh, Your speech was Amazing!!! I honestly think you ran acrossed that stage faster than i could… that’s awsome! This year was my 2nd time attending the National FFA Convention, and each year it gets better and better. My friend Tanner was in a motocross accident and broke bothe his legs and shattered one of his ankles. You were an inspiration to him. You taught him that a PIMP WALK is great, and how to make it work. He’s still talking and showing off his pimp walk. πŸ™‚ Your a great inspiration!!

    Josh,
I’ve been to thousands of leadership conferences through the FFA. There have been speakers from every part of the world, covering a huge spectrum of leadership styles and stories. Your story was by far the most hilarious, as well as touching. I saw you walking into Starbucks in the Conseco Fieldhouse… you were on your phone. I noticed your hair and your eyes, and your phone, but never your leg. When you stepped out on that stage and told your incredible story, you allowed me to realize that none of my bulls ever compared to the bull that you have been faced with in your lifetime. You are truly an amazing individual. Thank you so much for motivating me to become a much stronger person. Thank you for keepin’ it real.

Hey josh i felt the EXACT same way about leaving convention and coming back home to a dreaded english class lol, but National FFA convention and speeches like yours keep me so motivated. FFA is my main thing, importance, etc. in school and it’s what keeps me going through high school. Listening to motivational speeches is one of my favorite things in life because it gets me so excited and inspired. i’m an FFA officer in my chapter this year, and i have so many plans of being a great leader and example to my chapter, and this year my goal is to serve others just to be a good person inside and outside of FFA, and not just for recognition or awards. your speech definitely got people in my chapter excited and inspired, and you’re a great example of the kind of person i want to be. thanks for everything and keep doing what you do!!

    Hey Josh-
My name is Carrie. I am a small town high schooler from South Dakota. i’ve never been to a place that huge before…well heck the population of our town is like 300 people and i only have 8 in my sophmore class. Going and having an experience so much different than my everyday life style was absoloutely AMAZING! I just wanted to let you know that telling your story was really awesome and really, was inspirational.
See, from my small town to Indianappolis it is a 27 hour bus ride just one way, but when i got back home i told everyone how cool you were, (and no i’m not just brown-nosing) ha ha , and they really thought that you sounded like a really cool person. I really wish that meybe you would be able to come to South Dakota to our state convention and tell your awesome story becasue i would really like to have the other South Dakota kids that weren’t able to go get a little taste of my amazing lifetime experience.
With me, i was lucky enough to get a sponsor to pay my way to go to the National convention becasue around here where I live, something like that is a Once ina lifetime chance. So, yea i think it would be so cool if you were able to come to south dakota.
But anyway, i had better end this before you get too bored. I’ll let you get back to your EXCITING life! Ha Ha
