nationally broadcast PSA about disability awareness

Topics: videos of my speeches

Length: 60 seconds

Hey everyone, check it out: I’ve had the honor of being included in a Public Service Announcement that will be broadcast throughout the country this fall. It’s about disability employment.

We filmed this past summer and the spot was just unveiled a few weeks ago. Here are some behind-the-scenes photos from the filming…

We filmed it in an empty theater. The idea is that a theater is my workplace since I give speeches and whatnot.

They used some serious camera equipment...that thing required several people to operate.

Here I am talking to Chris, the producer of the spot.

Hey thanks Brooke! Glad you liked it….PSAs are impossible to predict as far as where/when they’ll broadcast. It’s totally random based on the decisions of the local stations.

Hi Josh, I am an FFA mom and Occupational therapy practicioner.I have attend two conferences where you have spoke. It is very inspiring to hear your story, and helps me to offer hope to patients with newly aquired disabilities, (an old ones for that matter!). I also teach OT students at a local college and have used your story and a few brief clips to show to my class, to help them realize the importance of advocating for and encouraging their patients. Several of them were coping down your website, and preparing to purchase books and other products! We are all looking forward (including my high school student who doesn’t like to read) to reading your book when it comes out in January.
Also, after an exciting and fun trip to Indiana with the FFA students, I wanted you to know that your message is what the kids couldn’t stop talking about , and even though they all saw you in Iowa last spring, this is the session they looked forward to the most!
Thank you for sharing your story and the impact you have on everyone who hears it.
